Our last session on Galiano is next week (June 4th). Deblekha has arranged the day to be a working morning, then an afternoon of celebrating our students' hard work, creativity and expression, and making connections.

On the topic of digital citizenship (the opportunities we have to use our values to change digital culture): 

A Call for Change

"In the new and advancing world we have many opportunities to do amazing things, yet we squander them for the fear of looking "uncool". We also have access to almost limitless amounts of information, yet we use it to taunt each other and do other useless things." 

Our themes from May 7th

Every student was asked for a word or phrase that was most important to them from our academic exploration of the importance of hearing everyone's voice (groups in society, in our communities, and finding our own voice). The words and phrases were entered into a "wordle" which makes the words or phrases that occur repeatedly or most often larger. This was our result!
